Forced to drag the stones Upon the sands they build his throne The wings are perched above them A shadow stalking from on high Floor upon black floor Is it a palace or a tomb? The bones of those who built it Are surely buried deep within Stacking the slain by their side Foundations built on fear for their lives Bloodied talons warning Of a fate that waits close at hand On display their message To be read by the ones next in line Bloodied talons clawing At the back of the mind is the scar Dominion over this world To the one that has the control His beast, it prowls the sky Feathers, beak and talons ride For the one that leave the line Death descending from on high Caught in his gaze as they hide A bloodied talon cuts through the black night The swelling mass of stone is rising higher, blotting out the sun Hideous towers built by his design, like fingers to the sky Lives be paid to behold the final sight, standing in black stone Those who defy have their bones to show for it, rotting in the sun Most vicious beast of the skies Is keeping the slaves in their lines Bloodied talons warning Of a fate that waits close at hand On display their message To be read by the ones next in line Bloodied talons clawing At the back of the mind is the scar Dominion over this world To the one that has the control

Ancient, carven halls of stone Madness waits within their vaults Inherit the cipher dimmed by distance in time Upon the gods command you shall find the way To mend the ruin, on which brink we now stand A fire burns the clouds as the oath is now sworn beside drawn blades The portents beheld now, no believers deny Beyond fire and steel we shall find The ancient riddles key Locked away within Make way for the caverns Where the secrets still hide All to be revealed here this day By fire light By aeons removed in time Far within the midst The answer's been spelt in blood The time has come to reveal Beware the answers laid out here They bring burden to the mind In the midst of the prophecy Take heed what you might now find Seeker of the key to ancient riddles Among all the pillars of these ancient grey halls You lost your mind in search of the key The… The... The ancient riddles key Locked away within The ancient riddles key Time will now reveal

We escape at dawn I will cut up the path once more Through the steaming blood We will overcome the walls they hold These iron gates will be raised The stone cracks beneath my feet as I strain Loose their arrows in vain Let them fly as I remain unscathed Braving the city gates, challenge their arms I am a beast they cannot hold Daring them to come out, to end my charge They cannot win but they can try Swing the blade Defying the gates These walls will now finally break Crack the chains Defying the gates I refuse to be ended here You're just a thorn in my side The vultures gather, but not for me Come test my steel, just try I refuse to be ended here Loosed arrows fly by my side The vultures gather for their feast When this gate is open you die I refuse to be ended here Loosed arrows fly by my side The vultures gather for their feast When this gate is open you die Braving the city gates, challenge their arms I am a beast they cannot hold Daring them to come out, to end my charge They cannot win but they can try Swing the blade Defying the gates These walls will now finally break Crack the chains Defying the gates

From the height of their arrogance Their eyes deny them to see Blind to the steel drawn, they cannot take back Our reply like thunder rolling Battle at last, their words will be put to the test Bury their lies in our cry Like a thunder rolling by A charge that quakes the earth with its pound They shall break upon our line And fear our battle cry We will end their rule in the fellest of swoops In the fields where they make their last stand We rose to their challenge with a right to defend They shall choke upon their own words Battle at last, their words will be put to the test Plated lords let sound their golden horns To rattle our ranks asunder But the din of their tone above the battlefield drowned By the peal of thunder Send your champions forth to on our spears to be gored They will be trampled into the ground And the sound of our hooves, like thunder let loose To accompany their death cries Battle at last, their words will be put to the test Bury their lies in our cry Like a thunder rolling by A charge that quakes the earth with its pound They shall break upon our line And fear our battle cry Let the plated lords sound their golden horns They will drown in the peal of thunder

Consumed by bloodlust Dark oath sworn unknown Silent before the thrust Like a stone before it's thrown Guarded by iron bars Until I bow before my host A crack inside the walls Reveals the path where I must go The pungent stench of wet stone walls, my only company Ere the stars draw the zodiac, pass the labyrinthian black Beneath their temple Their sacrifice now gone Into a fate far worse Than what they had in store With black blades brandished They wail in their defeat Lost now forever To that which lurks beneath Winding halls in stygian shroud, spread out for me It's too late, there's no way back through the labyrinthian black The void going deeper 'Til I'm lost under the ground Lost and I'll never be found Into the great maw That consumes without an end Doom in the place of escape Blind within the tunnels of my tomb soon to be Stumbling with a sudden crack within the labyrinthian black Darkness swallowed all of me and will not set me free Dragging steps behind my back in the labyrinthian black
6.
Warden of an ancient crown It's office bestowed on me A shadow of this kingdom Unconquered for how long? Enemies at our gates They smell their price within Like vultures circling closer This carcass empire In the siege courage denies me Before me, staring at me I see the Mounds of ashen skulls Placed beneath the throne A monument to greater kings Who from their tombs now share their spoils Sleeping at my feet Our enemies of old A joyous sight if they could see Their conquerors line be ended now The fire spreading now within our walls The gates cannot hold no more From the old tombs of monarchs: Hear the crumbling of their stones The killing fields been brought to the one that spent a life time to avoid Falling from the throne that he was never made to hold In the siege courage denies me Before me, staring at me I see the Mounds of ashen skulls Placed beneath the throne A monument to greater kings Who from their tombs now share their spoils Sleeping at my feet Our enemies of old A joyous sight if they could see Their conquerors line be ended now

The mirror surface now stands Revealed once more in days light Ancient terrace, in madness Again feet tread upon Into the fountain of voices The whisper of truth lies within Dark are the words that were bound there In the depths they pull at their chains Lost to the fountain of voices Those who disturbed its waters again Dark is the end they will find there They will add their voice to its ring Day turns into night at once With a treble of the marble stones Epochal revelation Before those who go Into the fountain of voices The whisper of truth lies within Dark are the words that were bound there In the depths they pull at their chains Lost to the fountain of voices Those who disturbed its waters again Dark is the end they will find there They will add their voice to its ring In its depths the moon has been set From its spouts the stars, they drip Pale waters, they hunger For more to finally come Into the fountain of voices From marble and crystal together hewn The light, it spews In a blaze of feigned morning their screams ring out Their screams ring out Into the fountain of voices The mirror surface now stands Revealed once more in days light
8.
Traverse the black sands The ancient tower calls Scorching sun is heating The grounds searing to the touch With swarms of vermin Feeding on my blood A pilgrim in the land kissed by the cloven tongue of its lord Stalked by a vengeful god My kingdom to spill his blood The mace and chain I wield: Upon the anvil formed My will and blackened steel: Upon the anvil formed Behind the ruins Of the sacrificial well Through the bones of virgins Where the shrine dwells Before the brazen gates His bane now awaits Breaking, the gates are open wide The halls run with blood Crushing the bones, a violent storm From this throne he will fall Stalked by a vengeful god My kingdom to spill his blood The mace and chain I wield: Upon the anvil formed My will and blackened steel: Upon the anvil formed
